Notes for Sara b’ Jacob Kokernoot
1856 Living In Rotterdam, in de Ketelaarsgang aan den Schiedamschen Dijk, wijk 3 - nr 548
[NB: According to her Notoriety Act in the Huwelijks Bijlagen (= Marriage Attachments) she was born in the spring of 1812 in Rotterdam in the Visschersgang; the witnesses couldn’t remember the names of her parents, who were originating from Amsterdam and who both died shortly after her birth; ever since she was brought up by strangers. In her Marriage Act her parents were stated as Unknown, but in her Death Act they were stated as Jacob Wolf Kokernoot and Johanna Meijer de Leeuw; thus she must be considered as their foster daughter.]
1906 Rotterdam, she died (age 95) in a house in de Claes de Vrieslaan.
