[NB: interesting attachments with her marriage act. Her parents went after their marriage to London, from where they moved in 1815 to Brussel. Shortly before Sara’s birth her father had changed his name from Salomon Meijer into Simon Marks, of which no official act is known. Her father died 4.12.1825 in Brussel. Mother and daughter returned to London. In the statement from Brussel her mother is named Rosalia Polak, in the statement from London she is named Rachel Marks-Pollock; but she is the same person. -- Abraham de Graaff is mentioned as “a Merchant residing at the house of Mr Meijer Collet in de Gevulde Gracht at The Hague”]
