1910 migrating from Russia, via Cherbourg to the USA, with his mother and stepfather John William Koliakoff, journalist.
1924 starting in Detroit the famous “Jean Goldkette Orchestra”, the best of its time, with a.o:
Bix Beiderbecke, Hoagy Carmichael, the brothers Tommy nad Jimmy Dorsey, Frankie Trumbauer, Joe Venuti, Pee Wee Russell, Eddie Lang. After 1930 working as classical pianist. In 1939 organizer of the American Symphony Orchestra, presented in Carnegie Hall.
