1700 succeeding his father-in-law as Rabbi of Baiersdorf — [situated ca 25 km north of Nürnberg]
1728 Court-Factor of the ‘Markgraf’ (Margrave) of Kulmbach-Bayreuth and confirmation as Chief Rabbi.
He copied, letter for letter, the moldered manuscript of the Memoirs of his mother “Glikl Hamel”. In 1743 his son Chaim completed his work — from which the many editions were translated and published ®23
