1722-1725 agent for the Netherlands (Staten van Holland etc) in the complicated negotiations concerning the acquisition of the (independant) manor “Vianen en Ameide” from the Count of Lippe, Simon Heinrich Adolf, representeed by his Chancelor Christoph Piderit. The Count of Lippe had inherited this manor through his grandmother Amalia, last descandant of the Brederode family, who had been during centuries the owners and rulers of this small enclave in the middle of the Netherlands. [NB: in this period Samuel Isaak Goldschmidt and his sons Josef and Isaak were the “Hoffaktors” of the Counts of Lippe in Lemgo and Detmold]
