Notes for Moshe b’ Alexander Goldschmidt kats z Korb
Parnas, Manhig — Gove [Baumeister = Master Builder, a.o. in 1597, 1598, 1605, 1606 and in 1612 and 1614)
[NB: according to a text in the Frankfurt Jewish Museum website ®41, he is a nephew of Josef Goldschmidt z goldenen Schwan — Question is: how? — cf the ‘Record-sheet’ (person-card) of his father Alexander]
1st marriage ca 1570 to NN or Sorlen — 2nd marriage aft 1606? to Blumge [?] b’ Jizchak Nördlingen [?] NN — 3rd marriage ca 1610 to Faile/Feiel [?] b’ NN.
1567 His father pays tax for him [cf ET, Be]. If this does mean that he is at least 13 years old, his mother may be Hanne. [NB: this differs from Epidat. — cf also ET about inconsistent data of four different ‘Moshes’ in the House “Korb”]
1572 - 1593 He is in business with Hundle z goldenen Schwan [several Gw records, cf ET]
1585 “Höchstes Vermogen d. Juden” ®26 (highest capital)
1609 He is “Vormund” (guardian or custodian) of the children of Jakob z gelben Rose
1613 He represents together with Hirz z grünen Schild the jewish community in the troubles preceding the Fettmilch riot.
1614 during and after the expulsion by the Fettmilch junta he was temporarely living in Höchst.

# Gitle/Gutle b’ Moshe z Korb (d. 23.2.1631), married to Nathan b’ NN kats z roten Tür (d. ca 1617) [no further info] — 1 child: ## Feibesh b’ Nathan kats z schwarzen, dann z roten Tür (b. ca 1595, d. 18.4.1664), married twice — no children [cf ET]
# [?] Serchen b’ Moshe zum Korb (d. ?; ffb-3435) — she seemingly died as a child [NB: her death date is not clear: 11.8.1580 (?) acc to ET, Ho.280 — or 26.7.1576 (?) acc to Epidat. — Both these data are marked with ? there is only a fragment of her tombtone — difficult to read]
