[his father Mendle had bought in 1576 the stable with all the unbuilt terrain situated next to his house “Knoblauch” that so far had belonged to his neighbour, the ‘Rabbi-House’ named “Eichel”. Here on he obtained in 1580 permission for improving the stable into a living quarter and in 1592 for building two complete family homes: on the streetside “Lindwurm” for his son Itsek and on the backside “Drachen” for his son Shmuel — cf ET]
