Notes for Maier b’ Moshe mi Bingen z Leiter
son of Moshe from Bingen & NN (Beile?)
[NB: in 1517 was his father Moshe with his wife and children, as first jew, admitted in the Archbishopric Mainz]
House “(weisse) Leiter” (first occupant)
on the List of 1533: “Entry in the House “Leiter” of the brothers Meier and Isak, sons of Moses von Bingen, who were earlier living in Mainz, in the House “Eichel”, inscribed by their Guardians” [cf ET]
His brother “der Lange” Isaak/Jizchak Bingen z Stern died in 1555 or 1556; he was married (abt 1531) to Rifke b’ Gomprecht NN (d. abt 1555) — child: Maier b’ Isaak Bingen z Stern z Meise (d. 1.4.1579) [cf ET]
1559: He is deceased. Guardians of his [younger] children are a.o. his brother, (the Rabbi and Parnas) Gotshalk/Getz z Fisch (d. 5.8.1570) and Süsskind z Strauss (who came also von Bingen!) [cf the Parnas Ziskind b’ Shmul v Bingen z Strauss (d. 8.12.1574)] [NB: also Maier’s eldest son Moshe was Guardian over his younger (step?) brothers and sisters]
