Notes for * Libman b’ Nosen Windecken Schnapper
House “Ochse”
2 children:
# Sheinle b’ Libman Windecken (d. 17.7.1790;-), married twice: (1) (abt 1751) to Ber b’ David Deutz z Salm (d. 22.2.1760) — 3 children [cf ET] and (2) (abt 1762) to ‘the Chazzan’ ‘der alte sh”ts’ Fais/Feist b’ Leizer [b’ Zeligman] Schwab (Öttingen) z Salm (d. 10.7.1827, age 95) [he married 2nd (abt 1791) to Jidle b’ Libman Fulda (d. 23.3.1824) — 3 children in total [cf ET]
# Zelkle b’ Libman Windecken-Schnapper (d. ?) >>

* NB: as there is no more info about Zelkle than the names of his father [Libman] and his sons [Awrom and Libman] it is given in ET that he is a son of Libman b’ Nosen — This is hardy possible within the time span of their generations: Because both his sons are specificied as “alte”, they must have been born not later than 1715. Thus their father Zelkle must have been born not later than 1695 and their grandfather Libman not later than 1675. This would mean that Libman died over 80 years old, while the specification “alte” is missing in his burial-registrations; and also that he must have been earlier married to an unknown spouse. — Other option might be that Zelkle is not the grandson of Nosen but his brother (!), thus a son of Libman b’ (Saul) Merdche Windecken Schnapper z schwarzen Ring (d. 30.11.1667), born abt 1660. — The data in this genealogy are adapted according to the first option; decisive here is the ET comment in the record of Libman b’ Zelkle, about the lineage of his young deceased son Leime (d. 29.8.1761) — JG]
