‘ha Morenu’ [= the Tora-scholar, a title he got at his grave — cf sk 486=54] — “….Yehuda Zeligman b’ David k”ts Hecht…..” [Ho 1893] —“….e des alten Zeligman Hecht” [quoting Ho 2421, in the epitaph of his second wife — while in his own record sheet the feature ‘alte’ is lacking.]
son of Dowid/David k”ts & NN — no further info about his parents, except that his father (Dowid) has been second married to Hanle (d. 26.4.1705) who in the burial Register [sk 465=22] is mentioned as the stepmother of Zeligman —
NB: Zeligman’s ‘surname’ Hecht is derived from his wife’s family.
