Notes for Shimon/ Simon b’ Isaac Sinzheim segal
NB — Errors in Ele Toldot (ET) and serious confusion, caused by the situation that there was another Shimon Sinzheim, who died in the same year (1784) also in Wien (Vienna) — resulting in a complicated entanglement of data about their patronyms, ages and marriages and the two sons who are both named Isaac/Aizek.
(a) Simon b’ Salomon died on 13 april 1784 at age 45, while his uncle (b’) Simon b’ Isaac died on 20 october 1784 at an age at least 10 years older — ET has only one Record-sheet for a Simon, though indicating in a ‘Bemerkung’ the inconsistency of his 3rd and 4th marriage in the same period.
This Simon turns out to have been married 3 times — it seems he was the man who was found starved near the market, and was buried on costs of the jewish community of Wien
