1914 “Madame Olympia Desvall in Barnum & Bailey Greatest Show on Earth” on a lithograph colour poster printed by Strobridge, Cincinnati.
“She headlined the Ringling Brothers Circus between 1914 and 1920. The Blumenfelds successfully sued John Ringling for stealing one of their acts. In return Ringling black-balled the family from performing in any American circus. Olympia and her three sons went on to Vaudeville, while Julius Goudsmit became a manager for many artists” #)
