1650 — appointed as ‘Landesrabbiner’ (Region-Rabbi) of Minden, Ravensberg and Halberstadt
1664 -- he starts a business firm in Hannover, with his son-in-law Jost Liebmann — he also is agent of his brother-in-law, the Court-Factor Leffmann (Liepman) Cohen Behrens [cf]
He had at least 7 children, a.o:

# Edel b’ Samuel Goldschmidt Hameln sg”l (d. 10.1.1734 in Hildesheim) married to Nathan b’ Meschullam Cohen Süssel (b. in Frankfurt, banned from Fulda, later from Hildesheim; he died in 1707 in Lundenburg? (= Breclav, Chechia)
# Malka b’ Samuel Goldschmidt Hameln sg”l (d. 25.6.1675), married to Juda/Jost b’ Elieser Liebmann Berlin (d. 20.1.1702 in Berlin), nephew of Leffmann Cohen Behrens zu Hannover. [after the death of his wife Malka, Juda went to Berlin and married second to Esther b’ Samuel Schulhof]
