Notes for Kosman/ Moshe b’ Elias Gomperz Cleve
Houses in Emmerich, Amsterdam, Zaltbommel, Amersfoort and also in Prosnitz, Moravia
1679 Zaltbommel — Loan-office and Pawnshop, token on for 21 years, but ending earlier after several troubles resulting in lingering law-suits, finally positively resolved in 1713 by his son Salman.
1688 Amsterdam — Bookprinting House, founding and supervising till 1697
1697 moving to Prossnitz in Moravia (Prostejov, in the east of Czechia) — from there involved in all kinds of business, in Vienna Leipzig and Berlin, with his related Court-Factor families [cf] of Samuel Oppenheimer and Samson Wertheimer. In this he was not always successful, resulting again in troubles and processes, so that he was forced to leave the country — at last after 1723 — and went back to the Netherlands
1726 Amersfoort — Parnas [also mentioned in 1727]
