Notes for Moshe [>Wilhelm-Jacob-Christoff] b’ Benedikt Goldschmidt segal z Wanne [>Friedstatt]
House “Wanne” elsewhere (later?) “goldenes Ross”

1646 april 20 Frankfurt: “Mosis Goldschmidt Jud aus hsg. Gassen im 24. J. ss. Alters” is baptized, adopting the name
Wilhelm Jacob Christoff Friedstatt[NB: confusion and mistakes in Ele Toldot, kapittel “JudenTaufen”, p.52 ®27 — (mentioning various sources with differing days and differing names, all in 1646) -- Shlomo Ettinger assumed in Ele Toldot that Moshe b’ Benedikt Goldschmidt (Kassel) was the same person as Moshe b’ Maier Goldschmidt (Rosskamm) z weissen Lilie, who also in the year 1646, on june 6, was baptized, changing his name into
Conrad Wilhelm
[NB: more research is needed — as Cilli Kasper-Holtkotte in
®26 (p.656) is mentioning him as an enkel of Moshe b’ Alexander Goldschmidt, which seems to complicate seriously the lineage — further work out in due time]
1648 Kassel: he married 2nd to Anna Elisabeth, daughter of Johann Weiwein (d. 1690) — ## they got 5 daughters and 2 sons.
